I learn a little about the laws of gravity this weekend...You cannot ride your 2008 500 H.O. down a mountain side that is a 90 degrees haha...

My dumb *** rolled my Sportsman but it seems the damage was minor. The lens that is over my speedometer cracked and the actual paper insert with the speed on it ripped (all other damage to the bars I was able to fix). The problem is I need a frigging lens and a piece of plastic. But Polaris doesn't sell those separate. They are telling me I have to buy the whole assembly and it is 300 bucks!!!! Can someone tell me where to get these parts. I don't need the brain or mother board, so I cant justify spending 300 bucks for 2 pieces of plastic!!

 

as far as i know, you can not buy them. you could however have a piece of glass/plexie glass cut for it and try that and then seal it real good to stop moisture coming in.

 

From what I hear you can't buy them seperate, I would maybe look on ebay for a parted out bike, or a fried speedo

 

There is a guy here that just joined goes by (ATV Parts Plus) says he owns an atv salvage yard. Mabe he could help you out.

 

I have same problem. I didn't find this part (lens) on Internet. It's really stupid paid 500 bucks in the Czech republic for new speedo.

I called that parts place! Thanks a lot...now I just cross my fingers and wait. They aren't open on Monday so I left a message. Tonight its crazy searching on Craigslist and ebay! If I find a place I will post the hell out of it so other people dont get screwed.

 

There's also a few salvage yards in Toronto Ontario Canada that have all makes and models ex used parts plus, billy's spare parts in North Bay Ontario.

 

Well guys I tried everything suggested and called all the places that you talked about and no one can help. I found a guy on craigslist the makes plexiglass replacements for them...Im gonna give him a shot for 10 bucks. Ill post more. This is insane...Polaris sux.
