this past weekend we had an all night party. we consumed mass quantities of beer and didn't exactly tread lightly with our atvs.

after a breakfast consisting of bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and a cold coors light, we began to ride again. i sat out and allowed girl that had stayed the night with us to ride my cat. next thing i hear is an awful clunking sound coming from the woods. about fifteen minutes later, i saw my nephew on a magnum 500 pulling my other nephew on his DAD'S sportsman. that clunking sound was a broken belt. let it be known that his dad is a irrational sob and he cringed when he realized he would have to face him when he got home. this sportsman is very new and i told him that i thought polaris offered a lifetime guarantee on its belts, am i wrong??

just before the belt broke he and my other nephew gave me and my arctic cat a hard time. funny how karma works. later that day, my nephew with the sp rode my cat and came back with nothing but compliments.

i don't like telling a lie, so could someone reply on the belt guarantee, i would appreciate it.

AC 500 4x4 auto always cocked, locked, and ready to rock.

From what I understand, the warranty started on 2001 models.

Hey, TexasCat, the 01 models have a (limited) life time warranty.. My local dealer said they will replace the first belt for free, but on the others, they look for damage caused by water, slipping, and other abuse. If they find any signs of it, it then cancels the warranty.. I'm already on my second belt. I burn't the first one when I got it stuck down in a deep mud hole..
I was in low ( before I get instructions on how to ride it from everyone ) but when you have to
back up, reverse is geared higher than low and it will smoke the belt.

One belt?

Is that the policy of Polaris or your dealer?
