hi all.. i personally don't own a polaris but my boss does and i've been told to fix it..lol anyways...about a week ago he was riding it and the front right ball joint went out on it...
i tore it all apart and put the new ball joint in and put it all back together except for one problem...the ball joint won't reach the front a arm... after a little investigating i found that the driveshaft was moving a little too much for me. So i tore it all apart again.
I found that the inner CV joint with 6 little ***** had pulled out of the hub?? canister?? that goes into the front pumpkin.. i was wondering how in the world the ***** go back inside the hub\canister thing... the local dealer said it can be done... i just need a little insight...the atv is a 05-06 sportsman 500 HO....any help would be greatly appreciated...thanx!!!!

You need to install the bearings one at a time while manipulating the inner race at crazy angles until they all pop in. Then just slide the new boot on the axle, grease, and pop the axle back in and secure the boot. Make sure it doesn't bind and you're good to go on reinstalling the the axle into the diff.
