Possible Project
What are you guys opinions on the following Atv. I was thinking of buying it, fixing, and reselling for a little side project. Not trying to rip someone off, I am just bored and looking for a way to make a little cash on the side.

the question you need to ask yourself since you are looking to to do this for MONEY is
how much are you expecting to make Vs. how much money and time it takes to fix it up.
I have a 2006 very low miles and hours SP450 up for sell for a real steal. And no one is buying it included with a warrenty. That said I had to lower the price significantly to get some responses, someone looking at it tomorrow. (I have lost so much money on this thing compared to when I bought it over 2yrs ago, new now lowered price to less than half of what I paid buy should get only about 1600 less based on KBB and what they are selling for on EBAY, its all the market now! I would of thought less amount of people are buying new and more used based on the economy but not from what I am seeing.
My point is if I have one that needs no fixing and excellant condition etc. etc. drop my price big time how hard will it be to sell it to make money after your repairs on an 11 year old bike? - IMO
Wish you all the best with whatever you do!

Ditto on the last post. If you don't have to put much $ into it and you have the time to sit on it until it sells then it will be worthwhile. I had two bikes for sale and ended up dropping the price considerably before they sold and sat on them for quite a while. Barely made any money on either deal. Tons of lookers but people aren't very willing to pony up any cash. That is why when I was looking to sell my 1/2 ton truck to get a new 3/4 ton I didn't even bother and traded it in.

Well, after talking to him I just wasn't sure. He was an extremely nice older guy. He told me he owned 2 car dealerships and had some other ATV's for sale. He then went on about how this one was a great deal, etc, ect.. and then I thought, why isn't he fixing it and making some money? He said he messed around with jeeps, cars, atv's etc... Something just doesn't add up. This thing is probably not even worth the $450. LOL I'm not taking the risk.
