Default Oil recommendations

What's the top couple of oil choices best suited for my ATV????

1998 Polaris Xpress 300, 2-cycl

If you are talking about the injector oil,then any TCW3 rated premix/injector oil is sufficient. Or you can purchase the higher dollar "smokeless" synthetic which does smoke a little less,BUT the older tcw3 is good for everything from weed eaters,2-stroke lawn mowers(if any are left) Pwc's,etc. the atv doesnt use much if in good condition. 2 quarts can go a far piece on several tanks of gas. On the tranny use Polaris AGL OR equivalent chain case lube.

I didn't know there was a place to put in tranny fluid, or how ist it applied on my type of model???

Obtain an an owners manual or shop manual and a lot of the service you do yourself will more than pay for it!! Good luck OPT

I have an owners manual, thanks.
I Realize I havn't read that part or have skipped over it. I just got the reply so I thought I would ask.

Sadly, I do not have nor can I find the on line owners manual...

So, how much oil & what type?

It is a matter of opinion of oils,if yours is like some of the 2 stroke Polaris with a seperate oil tank or rather a injection system I'd recommend Bel-Ray or Amsoil Intercepter Injector oil.I might be wrong and am not a expert but there is some difference in "premix" 2 stroke oils and "injector" 2 stroke oils,some are safe to used in both type applications
