Default oil screen polaris 500 touring

I'm trying to change the oil on my 2008 polaris 500 touring and I'm not sure about cleaning the screen. I have the service manual and it shows the screen being on the opposite side as the drai plug. I can see what looks like a 1"hex bolt with a tube coming out of it but I don't see a way to get at it as the frame is in the way. Is this where the screen is??? and does any one have any tips on how you undo it??

Just forget it..My shop mechanic said it isn't worth the effort.. Have had 4 500's all with 5-6000 miles on them and never cleaned the screen.

I clean it once a year, and recommend it cuz it has some filings in that get stuck b4 the magnet grabs em. You can get it from the front but it is kind of a pain in the ***. You have to take that clamp off the hose into back of the oil tank and then it will loosen, be sure take note of what position the fitting is in when done unthreading, so you know approximately where to start it when putting back on. You'll get her bud, and once you do it's easier the next time.
