Mega XP. Do you have any issues with the plow mount being too low and hitting the ground? Someone told me that with their 850 it would drop down. How do you like the power of the 550?

I like the power from the 550 used it all last winter for plowing never ran out of power. Never hit the the plow mount on the ground. My mount only hangs down an inch or so below the brushguard ( about 11" off the ground).

I found my new toy, best of all not that far from my home. I just put a deposit on a used 09 stealth black 850XP with 77 original miles. The gentleman who purchased it used it one time and it has been sitting in his barn. Looks brand new except for all the dust. It has a new and never used Glacier II plow system and a popo 2500 lb winch. My grand total is $7000. Sorry to say it is not the EPS. :-( Theres always next time.

I am going to pick it up this weekend.

Wow ....congratulations MrThor! That is an awesome deal....you probably saved over 2k and got virtually a new quad. No worry on the EPS as the XPs turn easy anyway. Enjoy, you done good!

BUMMER. I went to pick up the XP tonight and heard a popping noise from the rear end. I decided not to take her home since she was out of warranty. The owner said he was going to take it to the local dealer for the recall and see if they would repair the issues. Only 77 miles on the quad, the plastic ties that held the cardboard add were still on the front rack and it has a issue like this. BUMMER. :-(

It must have been an early model to be out of warranty, but anyway, there have been several reports of that, and the general fix has been the dealers replacing the axles

It's still a very good deal, go back and get it! Polaris will replace the axles no charge if that is the problem. while it's in the shop have the valve breather installed (recall) and you will have a great Quad at a great price! JMO!
