I have been in contact with the owner. He took it to the dealer today and they are calling Polaris to see if they will cover it. He is also taking care of the recall at the same time. Deal is not dead. Hope they will take care of it.

Hope they get it fixed up for ya Thor. You're getting the best sport utility atv on the market, IMO, for a killer price.

You can drive a truck or car without power steering too but i'll bet that few if any do and why would you want too. If you get power steering you will never be sorry you got it and if you don't get you may, and if you are sorry you got for some reason just unplug it.

I picked up my 850XP on Tuesday. What a sweet ride. I was not able to find a used one with EPS but that's okay I can always use the exercise. It came with a Glacier 2 plow (which I am going to sell with my Moose SP800 mount), A warn RT2500 winch and had all of 80 miles on it. It was still full of dust from sitting for the past 6 months in a barn.
I added a front lock and ride box and installed a rear Wes cargo seat. I converted it a lock & ride system also. More mods to follow later in time.
I will shoot more pics of the new box when I clean up the quad this weekend.
Thanks all for your comments on EPS or not EPS "that was the question" ;-)

Glad it worked out for you. I drove both EPS and non-EPS and preferred the power, but still couldn't believe how much better the non-EPS steered from days gone by bye now. I got the EPS but would have no issue buying the non-EPS. You made a great choice and got an awesome machine for a killer price. Have fun!
