So Ive already done the other way and it works, so could I just not connect my relay where I have the diode and then run the wires up to the cig lighter?? I already have them exposed down under the racks

 

Pretty sure you have to do it one way or the other or it won't work.

 

lol Im sure your right but what I meant was take out what I already did and then put the relay down under the rack, only because I have the green and yellow wires exposed.

 

That should work. I wired mine up inside the headlight pod.

You could but if the relay ever went bad then you'd have to deal with that. The relay I bought from Napa came with a harness/wires so if you go that route you can solder those wires. Then all you need to do is pop off the releay and replace it if it ever goes bad.

The only one I found was 20amp so I hooked it up and ran it for bout an hour and it seems to be good. I never ride real long at night anyways, I dis this for one of those times where ya need the extra light. the dude at the parts store said the 20 should do me just fine. I guess Ill find out.

Now what about that revers override???

 

Reverse mod is great because it eliminates having to use the yellow button for full power/4WD in reverse. Very useful when plowing or if you're really stuck and have to get off the machine or run it with one hand while trying to get out of some nasty stuff.
