Dealers should feel ashamed.
I just called my Canadian Polaris dealer for a new fan P#2410123 and was quoted $320 =15% tax $368 TOTAL. I also wanted a rad thermal sensor and it was $85+ tax = $98.
Grand total $466 Canadian.
insted I just bought this New Fan Polaris Fan Sportsman Scrambler Xplorer Magnum NIB:eBay Motors (item 350243406189 end time Sep-21-09 16:50:16 PDT) same P#2410123 for $65 and after Currency exchange and shipping it cost $88 Total
I also pick up a sensor P# FS147 at are Napa store for for $32+ tax which $36 Total.
Gand total $128! Savings is $341!
Even if ebay did not have the fan SPAL makes the same waterproof fan for $79.
Look into other option before a dealership especially in Canada.

Its not just Canada..
I got quoted $200 us for the break in service...
Talked around with some people who actually know what they are doing and was told it shouldn't cost more then $80 from a dealer since its just an oil change and valve adjustment with a basic look over with everything else.

The irony is the high prices are keeping people from entering the sport, and spending money.
The manufacturers think they are ripping us off hand over fist, all who do are the ones getting the shaft.

I heard from a friend of mine at work who also is a Polaris customer (SP800) that he has observed the prices in the after-market parts&accessories jack up to 30-40%. I don't know I don't really price watch. But when I am in the market for something like MH said I shop around a little. I must say though, my W.VA dealer has been consistent in 10% discount for me on OEM parts and accessories and have beaten many of the on-line prices (not all but most).

Sounds like most of your guy's dealers suck a#*. My local dealer a.k.a mom and pop shop, that also deals harleys will do everything they can to beat any internet price. And they're straight up with you about it. They will simply say, hey that's lower than I can go, get it on the web. That is a big plus with me and I'll keep going back to them everytime. Not to mention the service dept. is very resonable and will talk to you about the pricing. is'nt it funny how the little guy helps you out the best they can and the big guy's will just s#*t all over you and not even care. I think we need a few more little guys in the world, don't you?
