Question Polaris Clutch Removal Question

Hey guys and gals,

I have a 1993 Polaris 250. I am trying to replace the starter motor but it looks as if I cant get at the bolts without removing the primary clutch. I know that I need to purchase a clutch pulling tool and did find one online for about $25. I am hoping that I do not have to pull off the secondary clutch??? Once I have the new starter installed. Do I need a separate tool to put the clutch back on? Or does it just spin on? Also, does anyone know how many torque pounds I need on the bolt that holds the clutch in? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you CAN take those out it just takes patience and time. remove the air box and carb. you can get at them from the top. i have removed them on all of my 250/400 motors and they *never* get put back

thanks. I was able to get both primary and secondary clutch off, but am not able to find both the bolts to remove the starter. I found the one on the bottum, but cannot find the other bolt. I have looked everywhere. Do I need to pull of the recoil cover to get at it. I cant believe how difficult this has been to get at this starter. Thanks for any replies.
