Default Hitch

Has anyone used this type of multi hitch on there Sportsman? What are your thoughts on it? Looks to be much more versatile- more uses.

I have one like that that is a similiar style that the nut would never stay tight. As soon as you haul a trailer with the ball, the nut goes loose and the hitch rubs on the frame. I did not like mine.

I can see where it might work loose with only the single bolt to keep it straight, any side ways motion could loosen the bolt. Did you try a nylon self locking nut??
Thanks for the feedback.....

I had a lock washer and it was cranked tight but whenever I backed up a trailer it came loose. The hitch sticks out too far from the nut to make it a secure connection.

Anyone else used this type of receiver hitch? It looks good- but it does have its faults.

Default Hitch

I helped a buddy put one on his quad. We ended up drilling two holes to both sides of hitch by the big mounting bolt put two hardened bolts in. No more sideways motion. I know alot of people use this type of hitch and that was the only gripe.(sideways movement)

I had one on my Rincon. Great hitch. I had it welded to the factory plate. I did not get a new one for my SP800 because it is a 2 inch receiver and the 800 is a 1 1/4 inch. I went with the Bull Dog 3 way. Works great and fits perfectly.
