I tell you what, I'm NEVER EVEN GOING TO CONSIDER a Polaris again! I purchased a 2000 Trailblazer back in Sept. for my fiance. She's got the basics of riding down, now she wants a "sport" atv. So, I headed out with the Blazer in search of a 300ex. I went to 4 different Honda shops within 100 miles of my house. NOT ONE place would take it in on trade! NOT ONE!!! THis thing is spottless too! Everyone based it on past Polaris quads. Everyone they had sat on the lot for months and they ended up loosing money! Wow, this is great! Now I've got a quad that I can't trade in!
Still want a Polaris?????

Why don't you just put a classified in the local paper and sell it yourself. You'd get more out of it that way than you would have on trade.

Trade in is not the way to go on any quad because they have to give you less than what it is worth for them to make a profit on it.Put it in the Paper and it will be gone quick.

A lot of dealerships won't take a tade in on brands that they do not sell, ie: a Polaris dealer wouldn't take a Honda in on trade, ect.
Dealerships will only give you pennies on the dollar for a trade in anyway, then charge you their hidden extras on the new bike. I would put it in the paper, and sell it yourself. With spring coming up, and if it's near as nice as you say it is, it should sell quickly.

On another note, if you walk into a Honda dealer, and tell him you are trying to decide between a Honda and a Yamaha, he will quickly come up with a list longer than your arm as to why the Yamaha is "junk". This works with any given dealer between any give brand as well.

I sold mine in about 48 hours after decideing to sell. You will get raped on trade ins. I started to trade when my blazer was 4 mons old, they offered me $1000 less than I paid for it at the same dealer!

The Houston newspaper will sell them within 3 days if you price the machine in line withthe Kelly Blue Book price. You will make more by selling the thing than by trade.

And the mechanical problems consisted of...

Forget the 300ex, do as was suggested above and get the scrambler 400 2x4. For one it's basically the same frame and handling as the trailblazer, so your wife won't need to start from stratch getting used to a new quad. But she'll find the get up and go of the 400cc 2 stroke engine to be a blast.

LONG LIVE POLARIS!!!

Very true a lot of dealers will not take a different make on a trade. And if they do usually it is when they can totally rip you off. Sell it out right get more money for it and have some cash to bargain with. Trading is not the way to go only if you have to.
