Rebuilt top end-had good compression, now I don't????

OK..................
I finally stopped buy the garage tnight to check out the atv. I sat up all night thinking about possibilities.
- 1st thing I did was recheck the top end compression ( my 1st assumption). It was low- deffinately the problem.
* I really think either I am putting the rings in wrong or a bore and honing problem.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT WITH THE RINGS???
I thought I had each one set right before sliding the piston into the cylinder. As well as which one on top and which one on bottom as well as having the lettering facing up.
Much appreciated!

If using Wiseco both rings are the same with "R" marks up. What clearance did you have after having bored and honed or did they tell you? Was cylinder and piston and rings oiled up good when installing. Did you premix the fuel along with bleeding the oil pump for air? STUPID question BUT I have to ask: Is piston installed correctly with ring ends locked securely on groove stops and facing intake side?? Have had some people install piston backwards over the years! Used a Namura .020 Piston Kit. I took the piston and rings to a guy who does good work. So he had the piston and rings when boring and honing the cylinder. Right off hand I can't remember the exact clearance. I think the papers are out in my car. I oiled everything up good when installed. Yes- premixed fuel. Didn't bleed oil pump????
