I looked all through here I cant find anything on using a tow strap for the winch during winter. I see lots of stuff on synthetic rope.

Here is one thread http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...ou-4-idea.html

I can't find the one that is specific, but I'd shoot one of those guys a PM, and ask them for some details

I found the post your talking about, even had a few pics. By the looks of my warn winch the cable go's through the roller and then wraps around something and then go's back through till its almost coming out the other side.

The post I found had the guy drilling holes into the roller and then using self tapping screws to hold down the tow strap.hmmm

So heres the ATV all ready to go and I switched out the winch cable for a 4ft one that I bought from Princess Auto for $0.19 a foot. I put the back storage on so I can keep some salt/sand on hand if I need it.

This is the same plow I just got from a friend who bought it two years ago and used it like twice. Anyone know if it is a Glacier1 or Glacier 2? I am trying to figure out what if any mount will work on my 09 Xp 850???

Default Confused, what to buy

I am torn between the Cycle Country with a manual lift or a Glacier 2 with a winch. My local dealer says Cycle Country due to the parts availability. That is the pro, the con is that it only get s 5 1/2 inches of lift. The Glacier 2 gets 20 plus inches. Any suggestions? The Cycle Country doesn't seem to be as good of quality.... DO I need over 5 1/2 inches of lift? And I thing I have to buy brush guard with the CC.
