morning folks, now that i got your attention, i am getting ready to replace front driveshaft again (the one from trans to front diff) the original lasted about 3000 miles and now the frist repalcement is bad again. it seems to eat the splines out of both ends of the yokes. it had about a half inch of play in it this time. it has about 5000 miles on it now and the first replacement lasted about 3 years. the splines on the diff and the tranny seem fine. yes it has been greased on the slip yoke and yes this bike is rode hard. any one else having issues with front shaft.? any ideas would be appreciated. 2001 popo 500 ho

Got a 2006 Sportsman 5oo EFI in my garage and am replacing the yoke ,output shaft out of trans and gear in tranny that the axles slip into. The atv has 6500 miles and the owner used it to pull logs out of woods..We also have a 99 500 with 8900 miles and everthing is still orignal but is only used for trail riding..Seems the pulling is very hard on the drive train..

i had a 2000 sportsman 335. i never had an issue with the front shafts. i sold it with 7000miles. it never did hard pulling. just driving. some road gradeing with a pull behind grader. a few monthes of snow plowing. but other than that just driving at 30-40mph. sounds like hard drving is wearing it out.
