Default need 98 400 scrambler pullers.

Yep i have to rebuild the lower end. I'm looking for a puller for the counterbalance shaft but can't seem to find it anywhere to buy. Is it possible to make one? also looking on getting a puller for the drive clutch what i have doesn't work and i know i've seen pics on how to make one somewhere here. Also my book tells me i can press off the bearing on the counterbalance shaft to replace it but 2 local dealers say no you have to buy a new one with a new bearing on it which is around $350 is this correct? any help is appreciated. I have the 98 400 2 stroke scram.

You have to have the counter balancer puller to get that apart. Pressing off the bearing is a piece of cake, make sure you line up the two dots on re-assembly. The puller for the drive clutch is the older design used on sleds and ATV's. Counter balancer is not cheap, I have one that is good condtion with 2 small lines on end of shaft.
