Default Hey HO Dirt Trax TV just did a test on your machine

HI rod
Dirt Trax TV just did a test ride on the Can Am 800 R two up machine. He loved it and stated that any handling problems they had with the Can Am are gone. That's one nice looking machine and it impressed the hell out of them.
Take care,
Dave

Dave,
I'll have to check that out. But you know how it is... those guys either "don't know what they are talking about" or they are" making it up"! I guess the Dirt Trax test riders are as dumb as I am. lol

Thanks.

I just watched it...pretty much agree with everything he said...good and bad....the heat hasn't been an issue for me...but I know alot of guys who complain about that...Ruttcutter wrapped his exhaust and says his is 100% better. The power being too soft down low....100% agree....and that has become my number one,and pretty much only complaint. The clutching is the issue there...it upshifts too fast and kind lugs the motor when trying to accelerate from very low speeds instead of spooling the RPMS up in the peak power range ,it is even more noticable with some heavier wheels and tires on it....definitely in need of a clutch adjustment IMO. The stock set up does real well at belt pinch and mid-range top end though..
Oh and I am pretty sure the P in XT-P stands for Painted plastics...all the XTs have DPS...lol

Not 100% sure, but I didn't think all the XT's have DPS. I think it's listed as an option.

Anyways, atvmagazine did a test on the 09 model 2 ups. The Max was their favorite then also.

How much heavier are the horns compared to the Carlisles? I would think they would be close.

ALL 2010 XT's have DPS....it is a feature of the XT package not an option..

Not sure on just the tires but the 14" wheel+tire weight difference is about 5# each up front 7# each in the rear...
