Default Stabilizer Bar Bushings

2002 Sportsman 500

I want to change the stabilizer bar bushings (#15 in the picture). I am rebuilding my rear suspension, and have the whole rear torn down right now. The only thing I cant remove is this bar. It seems like its all one piece. I am confused.......

After you remove both stabilizer bar supports the bar should just knock out of the sleeve. It is just one piece! Sometimes the bar can get a little bent ,but still should come out. OPT

Leave it out if you want more suspension travel. If you want to go fast around corners leave it in. Humm someone need to invent another quick disconnect sway-bar.

how important is it that these bushings stay oriented properly?

noticed mine were cracked and split on my 6 month old machine, now the replacements keep shiftong..maybe i don't have the vertical bars tight enough? i didn't want to split the bushings when i installed them
