Default How thick are the stock tires on a XP?

I was painting my factory rims with bed liner spray and noticed a nice long cut in one of the rear tires. How thick is the rubber on the stock XP tires in mm?
Thanks

Mr. Thor, who makes them. A couple of searches I did seemed to say Carlisle. But, I couldn't find anything on their website. Alot of times the stock tires are 3 ply. I have 489s on the X2 and ATP. One of the rear tires that I had on the X2 got a slash in the sidewall. I reamed it out with a tire tool and wedged 3 plugs in the hole and it has held air as well as the others since then.

I have a set with less than five miles on them that I could sell you.

I'm not sure how the ply ratings relate to tire thickness other than the higher the rating, the thicker the tire. If you have 3 ply they will be thinner than a 6 ply.

I thought there was only 2,4 and 6 ply tires made for ATVs. Polaris always used Heavy duty 6 ply tires on there ATVs stock.

I seen some nice cuts in the sides of ATV tires yet they caused no trouble. Someone told me they make 8 ply ATV tires now,not sure if the ply rating on ATVs go right up the side wall of the tire to the rim though?

I've seen ply ratings on most tires I've looked at on quads. Not sure if they all have it or not.

The more ply tire is the weight goes up! My guess my xp tires are 3ply rated I looked when I first bought the machine and no rating on these teariblethons.

Some tires use the star symbol rating where each star represents 2 plys.

ex two stars is a 4 ply. according to these guys.
