1993 350l ignition switch wiring
OK got a question for the gurus. I was putting a new ignition switch in one of my 350's and got lost on the wiring. There are only four wires on the switch, and cant figure out where they get plugged in on the circuit board. There is one red, one black, one red with black stripe, and one solid red. Does anyone know where they plug in on the circuit board?
Thanks a ton for any help,
Jeff

im guessing there is a power wire in there some where for an igntion sorace, and then there is the engine kill circuit for the other 2 wires. get a test light or a volt meter. check for battery power. then that wire will power one of the other 3 wires for an ign sorce for headlights and what not. then check the switch for a through circuit for the lights. if you get the lights to work. the the other 2 wires are a no brainer.

well it seems that only 96 and later models used the red-black wire, but im going to assume that the red black is the same as the red-white wire that the wiring diagram calls for. refer to this post it should help you out...

to be honest i am not completely familiar with a 350, but i was always under the impression that the 350 is nearly the same externally as a 400.
I removed my bottom skid plate, the chain guard, chain, pull start and pulled the starter out from the bottom. Had to remove the pullstart as there are bolts in there bolting the starter to the block. Maybe yours is different ???
