Question Why????????

I have owned Polaris atv's since 1987.Ever since my first 250 Trail Boss when I run into a person riding a foreign atv the first thing I hear is how bad the Polaris atv's are..They have never owned one but love to put them down.I have also always driven Ford trucks.Same thing..(I worked for Ford for 44 years)Why does the younger generation love to beat down American made products??My Polaris atv's and Ford's have served me very well and I know I am supporting the AMERCIAN WORKERS.These are the same people that talk about how bad the things are bad in our country..I must say I am proud to be an American and very proud to BUY AMERICAN!!!

These people are of the same mentality starting in the 1970's that didnt like the cost of American clothes and gradually they didnt have to worry about that problem!! NOW about 95% of our clothes are foreign made.Granted some foreign products are of better quality,BUT the greater issue is that if we dont support an American work base ,THEN we all will suffer! Look at the Chinese dumping of products into this country that we are ALL buying up! We are being gradually taken apart internally by ourselves. JMO OPT

Been down that road with ignorant people too many times. Hopefully someday you'll have the chance to run in to those folks stuck on the trail, ride around them, pull them out, and then see what they have to say about the mighty popo!

We'll see how "American" everyone is when you hire someone like me to work on your house. When my bid is 30-40% more than the illegals, just see what happens.......

As for the Popo thing.....They had their problems in the past, and deserve the criticism, but now it's just jealousy from the other owners.

BTW, Ford's have never been good for me. Good for some people, but for me, they have been junk......and my father-in-law is the service manager...

I bought my Polaris because it is the most versatile quad out there. The front storage, large gas tank, and dump box/seat combination are what sold the X2 for me. It has been very reliable. My ATP is being looked at for an overheating problem. I've seen plenty of overheating issues with all other makers on this forum. My problem with the buy American way of doing things is that many of the so-called American made products are made in foreign countries. In other words, a foreign worker is getting paid and an American CEO is making a big paycheck. A foreign truck (Nissan or Toyota) is made in the USA by American workers making a good wage. So, I am paying American workers and a Japanese CEO. I'd rather pay both if I can but haven't found that combination recently. I had a 99 Super Duty Crew Cab with the Powerstroke 7.3 TD. It was made in Canada if I remember right. It spit out 2-3 heater cores and then the engine oil cooler. I had bought it used with 40K on it and waited 8 months after the last "fix" to trade it in with a good conscious. I never knew if I was going to be able to get home half the time I was driving it. I asked the dealer and Ford if they would sell me a new gas engine crew cab at invoice and they said, "no". They wouldn't budge more than $1000 off sticker price. I won't deal with them again if I can help it. My current GMC 2500HD had the transmission die after 80K. And I've spent a few thousand on other issues. I don't baby my vehicles and I don't beat them (well, okay, so I ride hard on the X2). I'm happy to be brand loyal with a vehicle that is reliable. I've had a 85 Nissan 4x4 with a 4 cyl. that had $75 dollars of issues that were non-maintenance over 145,000 miles. I had an 87 Toyota 4-runner (bought used) that cost $800 extra over 102,000 miles of driving. I had an 1993 Isuzu Trooper with about $100 of issues over 106,000 miles. I am VERY ticked off at GM and Chrysler for taking bailout money. So, am I wrong if I buy a Nissan Titan (that has all the features I want/need) that is made in Tennessee by an American worker or should I buy an American truck that is made in Mexico or Canada? If I do find an American pickup that has a good track record for reliability that is made in the US without tax dollar support I might consider one. In my opinion and for my own needs I can't afford to buy an overpriced truck that is going to cost me thousands more in non-maintenance items to keep running.
