1998 Sportmans 500 electical problem

Question 1998 Sportmans 500 electical problem

Im haveing troulbles with my machine. I dont have any lights, 4x4, or spedometer. I have looked at all the connections and cant find anything out of the ordinary. If someone could point me in the right direstion that be great.

you could check to see if any of your circuit breakers are bad. look for them in a black plastic bag thingy

is that under the seat? I could only find to one circuit breaker that i can find and it is good. Thanks

does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1998 Sportsman 500 that i could get? Was looking at it tonight and still finding nothing wrong.

Not sure about the 98 but our 97 has a bunch of auto motive type fuses,under the front nose lid, which is under the front rack. If not then you have the circuit breakers which are suppose to self set when thrown.

i looked at that stuff but ill take another look. I dont know what im missing but it cant be that difficult. ??????????? Ill let you know what i find.

Did you check the connections at the selenoid?Take the battery cables off the selenoid and check the tightness of the nuts behind them, I've seen these work loose and cause problems.

well got it all working. not sure what i did but after checking connections on the in the front end it all started working. I wish i knew which wire it was that fixed it. Oh well it works now.
