Default Jump start on Christmas

Picked up a few new toys today. Got an awesome deal on a new Suzuki DRZ 400 for me so I can keep on two wheels until the big snow hits and got my daughter her first wheeler. Picked her up a new 300sp. Can't wait to see her face on Christmas morning! Going to have to get a few things for it though. Can't believe they don't put a-arm guards on them and having a park option would be nice. Either way I'm looking forward to getting her to safety training in the spring and hitting the trails together!

Be sure to take pics of her when she "opens" the present. One thing I've noticed about the PoPos is that the single brake lever when locked for parking locks up all four tires. At least on my X2 and ATP.

On most Polaris (that I seen) they have pads and rotors on twofront wheels and one rear wheel???
...................So three wheels will be locked.
With your x2 and ATP the turf mode may make all four lock up correct?
I don't know I am just asking..........Caper..........

I think the brakes on mine are independent of the rear Spicer gearbox. The gear box in the rear allows for 1 wheel drive or both rear wheels driving. As far as brakes go mine has 2 front disks and 2 back disks. I think this is true for both the ATP and X2. I had the X2s front end up on jacks putting a couple washers between the rim and the hub to give the new tires a little space from the tie rod end. I was able to undo and then retorque the nuts without the wheels spinning at all.

the rear end is locked on polaris atv's (except for turf mode) so one disk brake in the rear effectively stops both rear tires. The reason they dont use two: for one its cheaper.... secondly you dont need too much brake pressure on the rear tires or they will lock up easily. that makes it dangerous for people who dont know how to drive.
