Default '96 model magmum 425 has died.

I put it in the shed for the night. Had been running OK. Next morning there was not a hint of even wanting to start. This a low mileage machine that has never been rode hard. Batt spins engine fine, fresh gas, changed the plug, fuel filters changed. Still not a hint of wanting to start.

I'm not sure what to ck next. Any help would be great. Thanks.

You need to check the basics first.

Pull the plug and see if you have spark. Got spark? If not, you have a spark problem.

If so:

Give it a shot of ether and see if it runs. If it does, and them quits you have a fuel problem.

If it does not even try to pop on ether and you have good spark then take a compression test.

Do one at a time until you find the problem.

If you have fire at the plug check the valve clearance. This needs to be done on a regular basis any way
