Awd

Why would you want to change it? If the switch is in 2wd you are in 2wd. If the switch is in AWD you have it in less than 1/5th of a turn difference between front and back tires. It's seamless. If yours isn't doing this, than there is something wrong.

ya i want it to be option to have 4wd or 2wd instead of the awd kicking in whenever it senes the back tires are slipping..i think it makes funner, but if its not possible to switch it somehow then o well i was just wondering?

what year is your sp 500? the newer models you can leave in awd all the time and it only kicks in when it senses wheel spin as mentioned. other wise if the switch is in 2 wheel drive the awd should NOT be kicking in at all. so as long as you don't have the switch engaged for awd, it should be in 2x4 and not awd mode unless there is something wrong. imo

If you leave your switch in 2wd you will always have 2wd never would you have 4 . Only when you move your switch to the 4wd position will you have 4wd and then only when your rears slip 1/5 .

Sounds like something is wrong. If the switch is in 2wd, you should have only 2wd. The 4wd should not be kicking in at all.
