My buddy put one on his 98 Sport. He still goes through chains like nobodys business.

Hey guys~
I have the chain tensioner on my Scrambler. It is made for non-concentric drive models ONLY. What it does is takes the slack out of the chain. Therefore, you are running a tight chain all the time so it cannot jump off a sprocket. It will help reduce breaking chains. You have to adjust the chain with the suspension fully compressed though. That will eliminate the chance of stretching a chain. BUT, most chains break because there is a sudden change of spped upon landing. While in air, the tires build much greater speed, and upon landing, the are forced to slow down instantly. Chain tensioner will not fix that, you just have to learn to let off the gas a little when in the air.
