Default Winch Size- 06 Sportsman 500

What capacity winch would you get for this quad? 2,500lb or 3,000lb?

How often does everyone use the wireless remote feature if you have it?

2.500lb or 3,000lb?

It depends!

If you are you going to keep the quad for just a few years I would tell you to go for the 2,000lb. Keep it cheap because you won't get any resale value for the winch when you trade/sell the quad so you should go as cheap as possible.

If you plan on long-term ownership, go for the gusto and order that 3K lb! The wireless remote sounds like a neat idea to.

If there's a big price difference between the two I'd go with the 2500. As long as you use a ****** block it will have more than enough pulling power. Never had a wireless remote but would sure come in handy at times. Heard of people having issues with reliablity but never seen it personally.

I have a 2500lb WARN and it is plenty. Buy a quality American made winch (WARN or RAMSEY not the chineese crap) and you wil be fine.

I would skip the newer Polaris winches, some have had no problems, and some have lots, it's kind of hit or miss, you won't regret the warn XT2500, but look around, and you can save some serious $$, I found ebay was usually the cheapest, but that was a few months ago

If you go to gowarn.com and use the promo code "Survey", you can save 5% off their sale price, plus free shipping. A XT2500 will run about $323.98 going this route
