Talking Another ? for old polaris tech

Nobody responded to my post on the 800 exhaust working for a 500 or not. So i thought I could rely on your yrs of experience with popo's to lead me in the right direction. It's a pure polaris (white bros) slip on and it's been taken apart and repacked due to it's pretty loud decibels. Hasn't been used since being repacked. I just want to know if you think it will lean out my 07 500 EFI or harm anything in the motor ie. Exhaust valves, piston or even the computer? I understand motors but when it comes to building performance I'm at a loss as far what works together like cams and pistons and heads and headers and exhaust all working together to make most power out and down to ground.

To get any significant power increase you need to concentrate not only on exhaust system, but head and valve work plus possible larger injectors that are offered in a lot of aftermarket kits. Adding an exhaust wont hurt it,will give it a little more open flow and a little better sound. We've done a few RAZR engine and electrical mod kits along with the exhaust mods and thats where you can notice the difference along with clutch mods,BUT expensive to do!! Havent had the chance to do a turbo kit yet!! OPT

ask "Sportsman7003" about adding a turbo and what not as he has done it all and would know results on his 700.

as far as the exhaust goes, that exhaust is no different than a 500 functionally, but it may be physically. I believe
