im looking at a 95 400 srambler in my garage for 800.00.it doesnt have a working starter,the outer clutch cover is gone,and beleive it or not it barely runs if you pull start it ,BUT if you turn the ignition partially OFF the motor will rev like crazy and the motor sounds fine although it is at full throttle even when your not touching the gas!im not familiar with polarises at all and i can probablly fix this thing,i just wonderd what anyone elses opinion of these older scramblers might be

 

I have a 96 Scrambler that I still ride and I think they are very fun to ride. Not pure utility and not pure sport but somewhere in the middle and they can be very fast. If you have the time and money probably most any repair it would need you could do I'm no expert mechanic but I've done several repairs over the years and it's still going at this point.

 

sounds like it wouldn't be too much to fix to make it right if you have the money and do your self to save labor cost.
