Just wondering if anyone has replaced the plastic chain rub block on the Swing Arm. I have an 03 330 trailboss and just replaced the drive chain. I noticed the wear block is rubbed about 1/2 way through. I figured it would be a piece of cake to replace until I realized its riveted in instead of screws. Polaris engineers really go out of their way to make service a real PIA on these things. I don't think I could get a drill in there without a right angle adapter. I'm seriously considering waiting until the block wear more. I think the chain was run to loose by the previous owner.

 

I had mine torn off on my trail boss, replaced it (used) and had it happen again. I don't have it on there anymore. I know it serves a purpose, but I was beginning to believe that purpose was for me to keep buying them.

 

will wear the swing-arm out instead of the block, as long as you keep the chain adjusted properly the block should last awhile longer.

 

just wait till you need swing arm bushings ,then replace it

 

That sounds like a good idea. I think once I adjust the chain tension it will be barely touching it as stated in above post. It still has 1/2 its life left so I should be good.
