The 750 Polaris Switchback makes 80hp in the non turbo version, and 140hp (top pic) with a tubo charger, will polaris put one in a ATV?,not likey. Polaris also has a 150hp 800cc. With these xp850cc ATV only making 70hp Polaris is sure holding back if anything.
Same with Arctic Cat they make a 160hp 800cc (Bottom pic) 4 stroke twin for there sled but there 1000cc ATV only makes 70-75hp. They have there reasons.

Agreed. There's no denying ATV engines are powered down versions in comparison to other machines coming off the assembly line.

FYI - Polaris (150hp) and Cat (160hp) 800cc snowmobile mills are 2 stroke twins. Look at BRP, Ski Doo's 800R was dyno'd at 155hp, and the almighty Can-Am 800R only puts out 71. In the grand scheme of things ATV's are anemic when compared to big power sleds, a power rush that's not even close. My wife's 500ss (600 cc 2 stroke) puts out 105 hp and would smoke the fastest big bore ATVs on grass like they were standing still. 4 stroke snowmobile engines range up to 1200cc, and put out up to 150hp (Yamaha Apex), and big time torque. Cat... the big T Kitty puts out 66 hp, the 4 stroke Z1 Turbo - 180. You're right, there are plenty of power options available should a manufacturer decide to increase it in an ATV, I'm assuming they keep it down mainly for safety reasons.

I'd like to see 0% interest $50 a month for ever. Also buy 850 xp and get a new 150 xp 2 up for my boys for free.I would love to see a revamped scrambler 750 xp 150lbs lighter than current model.
How about a mid mount pto to run a snow blower.

I would like to see a 650XP! I would like to see MORE better accessories for these NEW XP lines. How about Big Horns on the new XP's? I would like to see cheaper prices, but don't think that wil happen and maybe a little scared on what they would take off the current models. I think the new XP owners would crack if they would have to add rear working lights to their machines (lol..j/k, maybe not, lol)!

GPS built in? Well I think I would really like the Air Compressor built in for TIRE use on the trail and for adjusting AIR SHOCKS (Did I mention that too?)

More hunting accessories!

I hope to see a NEW from the gound up Polaris sport 4x4 that's a combination between a Sportsman XP and an Outlaw IRS to compete with the Can-am renegade with 4-wheel independent suspension, 550 and 850 motor options, center-of-frame mounted rear-exit exhaust. Keep the XP front end except for the headlights, style the front fenders similiar to the new scrambler, style the rear fenders like the phoenix. Have a small, flat area behind the seat with tie-down loops so there's a place to put stuff. Keep the handlebar-mounted XP headlight/instrument pod, maybe restyle it to be more aggressive looking. Keep the low gear, give it 24-25" tires and 12" wheels. Keep the weight around 600lbs.

FYI - Polaris (150hp) and Cat (160hp) 800cc snowmobile mills are 2 stroke twins
Opps yes I forgot the 800 are 2 strokes, but still the (top pic) Polaris Weber 750 twin is a 140hp 4stroke twin turbo but even without a turbo it makes 80hp which is impressive for a 750cc. The larger 800 to1000 atvs do not make 80hp with a 50cc to 250cc displacement advantage.

Arctic Cats/Suzuki 1000 Z1R 4 stroke sled motor makes 123-hp; 78.2-ft/lbs torque (no turbo help) and the 1000 in there Thundercat ATV makes 70 hp. I,m sure its about people getting hurt. I do not think Suzuki will put one in a KQ anytime soon either.http://www.snowmobile.com/manufactur...view-1101.html

There are many lakes were I can bring a sled to 100 mph safely, but I have yet to find place were I feel comfortably doing 55mph or more on a ATV.

What I'd like to see:

Turf mode standard on all models.

A tough, matte finish like rhino lining or something similar in black, OD or earth tones.

More tire options. I'd like to just be able to order Mudlite XTRs or whatever directly from the manufacturer without having to get pay for stockers I don't even want.

Power is perfectly acceptable for me at this point. The 850 is fine though i wouldn't mind seeing a 1000cc high output engine for razrs .

With power being taken care of I'd like to see more emphasis on durability, handling and ride.

I'd like to see the electrical system beefed up for running more electrical accessories.

On-board air compressor would be nice for airing up tires or for:

On the fly adjustable shock valving.

With the all of the surplus power being generated by engines like the 850 some sort of PTO option would be useful. Something which might power a mower, or run a hydraulic pump for a plow lift or angle system.

Better waterproofing and placement of intakes.

I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of sealed mechanical automatic transmission.

More ease of maintenance. Routine service such as oil and fluid changes, belt changes, bulb replacements battery swaps etc should be able to be performed quickly and with minimal steps and tools required.
