That sounds like a great Idea. Would there be any thing else involved other than extending you current battery cables to the back rack to where a large automotive battery will be sitting?

I also have the 3 headlight mod as well as hand and thumb warmers and when I use the winch to raise the plow my battery light sometimes starts to flash. usually when Im at idle.

Wouldn't it be great if these bikes had a high idle switch for these occasions.

adding a bigger battery to an atv stator that puts out about 8amps isent gona solve the problem.

just think about it. the wheeler is gona take longer to charge a automotive battery than a atv battery. a automotive altinator puts out anywhere from 60-130 or more amps. and if your useing your winch and anything else electronic its gona draw from the battery, and the more you draw the more time its gona take for the wheeler to charge that battery. unless you plug it into a battery tender when you done.

I'd say rig it up into a rear cargo box of maybe something like the spare fuel mod from quadovator would work. fab a battery box that attaches to your rear sway bar.
Here is a pic of what i mean. Just picture the fuel can as a battery.

Is it just me or does that look like an accident waiting to happen? Sorry! Batteries are heavy and need a strong surface to support them.

I would buy one of the plastic battery containers used in the boating industry and strap it down on your rear cargo rack. You want something designed to protect your clothing from the acid.

And yes, put er on the battery charger when you are finished plowing, or even between jobs if you are really going at it for a long time.

Default battery

when we add dual batteries kits to polaris rangers we use deep cycle batteries. They are made to be discharged and recharged same kind of battery thats used on a boat trolling motor.Like guys above said recharging battery when your done would be best.

Gas PC,

I am a little puzzled, is the battery terminals on the side or is the battery sitting upright on its side? Confusing from the pic b/c of the odessy label.

If the terminals are on the side, not sure if that would present a problem for me. My SP800 is on the top, not sure about the others?

Regards,
