HO, I first took a ratched strap and connected it to both sway bars but when I was finished the one side was bent a tad more then the other. That is why I took the strap and connected it to the one side to make them the same lenght.

I thought the sway bar (singular) was one piece of steel....

It looks kind of like a upside down U when you disconnect it and turn it towards the back of the quad for modification. If you do some searching you will find a post somewhere showing how its done.

Basically you disconnect the swaybar from the end links(vertical rods on each side) then rotate the swaybar ends toward the back of the machine so you can get a clear shot between the 2 ends. Then I just used a larger ratchet strap to pull the 2 ends toward each other.

Here is what mine measured when I was done. This was from outside edge to outside edge IIRC,this is the width I needed for Big Horns. The XTRs required a little less of a bend. What I suggest is doing it with the tires mounted and bend a little at a time until you get the clearance you want. As mentioned above once you bend it so much it will hit the exhaust/heat shield when you try to rotate it back foward. If you need that much of a bend you may have to take the sway bar mounts off to get it back in position.

Is the ITP TerraCross RT XD a directional tire? Going to get them installed in the morning & want to be sure the tire store does it correctly.

I called ITP and they said it should not need it. I will try without first. BTW they are not directional tires.

I wonder at what point balancing might be needed. Has anyone ever had their tires balanced?

I just got the tires & wheels mounted. I took the XP for a spin around the property & did notice she is wider now. She did not fit in the prior tracks all the way. I did notice that it feels more stabil on the road. I will get you more feedback this week when I go for a longer ride. Here is a pictures I just took. I love the looks of the new wheels and tires. Sorry for the picture quality its getting dark out now.
