Default Plow mount plate?

I have an 2009 polaris 800 with a glaciar 1 plow and mount. I want to change the front demand drive fluid. It looks like I will have to remove mounting plate for atv to get to drain hole.

Should I remove or just wait till spring to change? Last change at 25miles now at 60 miles 2 months later.

If I remove and change do you think it would be fine to drill a hole, so I can get to drain plug and not have to remove mounting plate ever month or so?

Won't hurt it to drill a hole at all. Did it on my 05 & 09. I don't take the plate off often so it make changing the fluid much easier!

Glad I changed and removed the plow mount plate. The demand drive oil was black and this is only 35miles since last change. Follow your manuals!
