2008 800EFI Rev Limiter?

2008 800EFI Rev Limiter?
I bought a 2008 800 EFI last month. Haven't really ridden it until yesterday. I have the 500 EFI also. Does the 800 have a rev limiter? When I try to accellerate hard, it sputters like it does. With my 500, I can grab a full handful and it doesn't sputter at all. In order to go fast with the 800, I have to give it slow throttle or it will sputter. Any idea? Fix?
