If you have the acid, that's what I would use. If not, make sure you use distilled water.

Thanks A/P store for acid? What kind do I get? This is the kicker have you ever heard of deionized water? We use it to basicly pressure wash electronics.

I would only add distilled water. IMO Even though it looks dry, you will find it won't take much to bring it back up. You might want to keep an eye on it as to why it went dry on you. Cracked, overcharged???? Be prepared to be spending some money for a new one soon.

No fun being stranded someplace with a dead battery.

according to Interstate batterys you should only add distilled water and never add more acid...

Hard to say, it depends on how much you have overfilled it. Some batteries have somewhat transparent cases with low and high level marks on them. (Getting to be a thing of the past) If you have overfilled it just a little over the high line , I wouldn't worry about it. If you filled it up to the top of the hole then I would make sure your overflow tube is correctly routed as it will most likely be spilling out of that tube as your ride gets banged around.

To prevent that I guess I would try to get some of it out, to bring it back to a safe level.

Remember you are messing with hydrachloric acid (once your distilled water gets mixed into the cells) so be carefull.

Your right, my bad. I think I was thinking about the Hydrogen Gas during both the charging and discharge cycles.

I should know better than to think!!!!
