$160 FOR A BELT? I never payed over $80 for my sleds or ATV and thats OEM , must be because the XP is so new no aftermarket belts are available for it yet.

Look at this belts and prices, especaily from ULTIMAX BY CARISLE and DAYCO. None near $100 and made for ATVs with alot more power then a XP550.

https://www.justatv.com/pages/atv_dr.../beltdrive.htm

I used a $60 Ultimax on my old 98 Ski-DOO MachZ 800 and that thing made 150hp at a zillion RPM. and lasted well over 1000 miles hard miles.

Update I think Carlisle makes a belt for the XP550 now http://www.cptbelts.com/pdf/atv/Ulti...nterchange.pdf

Polaris 3211123 belt= Ultimax UA448

Carlisle Long Term CVT Belt Tests www.ATVPT.com - ATV CVT Belt Tests

Even My Polaris Dealer sells a OEM belt for a SP500 at $80 Canadian! $160 is a rip off just like when my dealer tried to sell me a rad fan for $300 that sold new for $60 on e bay.

That's a rather pointed thing to say. Let me guess....you're one of those fellas that likes to sit up to their armpits in mud while they rock the ATV back and forth, trying to see if you can make it through 100 yards of the stuff? And then when your ride breaks down you scratch your head in wonderment and demand that a warranty covers it?!
Firstly my friend, you have no reason to be upset at my comment. Secondly....if you must know, I enjoy riding two-track trails out west. Uphill, dowhill, lot's of curves and mild technical stuff. Some mud is fine (but not goofy man-made mud-bogs or pits where my tires are performing more like paddle wheels on the Mississippi....that's what boats are for). I'm not a fan of rock crawling either....but I can understand why some are.
You want to ride in mud? It's your business....have at it. But at the same token I would hope you would allow me my opinion on the subject.

When you take your bike, beat the pi$$ out of it, or drive it till it drops, it makes no difference to me. The part that is hard to swallow is when you expect that someone else (the manufacturer) will pay for your repairs. This way, were all affected. The mfg adds the costs of warranty into future models and WE ALL PAY MORE when we buy a new model.
