STOP ! Take it to a dealer right now. You're doing somethings wrong and could screw something up BADLY.

You afre obviously concerned with taking care of your equipment.

First I would never assume that all the fluids are at the proper levels until I saw that for myself. Doesn't take too long to check the levels.

Second although I am not positive of Polaris or even this particular machine some do come from the factory with special additives in the oil from the factory for break in (like zinc). Sticking to the specified hours before an initial oil change may be more important than it seems.

I just drain the oil out of the oil tank, then run the motor for a fews seconds to bump out the extra cup of oil in the crank case change spin on filter, then add two quarts of synthetic 0w-40. Done.

I did the crank drain plug, bleed system and check the screen thing which is always clean, its just to much of a hassle IMO.

I hear you, but even though you have a 400ho, mind telling me what the bolt is that I pulled? I know its motor oil, but not sure if its the dry sump or not.

And thanks TLC, im not sure if running it for a few seconds to get the remaining oil out is a good idea at all, but I will just dump in my oil and new filter and go. I got the 5 year warranty, so if I did mess something up, it will be covered. Ill be sure to update if something goes wrong for future advice!

There a wet sump motor. 7500 miles on our 97 and 3000 on my 2001 500, same Fuji biult engine as your 455 just a different bore or stroke. If my lazy man method did not work I think I would know by now. LOL
