Plowing for Dummies
#11
I'm glad we don't get enough snow to even need a plow here. So far this winter, we've only gotten accumulation once and it was only about 3 inches. Its in the 50's today, should be over 60 F tomorrow. Its not like that every winter but a foot or more at at ime is something we might see once every 10 years or so. I remember 2004 as being the last year we got that much at once. A couple years ago, we got about 8-9 inches once, that was the last time we got heavy snowfall.

^^ Bad Brains... nice!!!
I do and don't, depends on how lazy I am but there really isn't a reason you can't use the same set for both duties. I do happen to have the OEM set and a separate set with Original Bighorns. This year, got lazy and didn't put the OEM set on. The thought was I don't care much for the OEM tires so driving them on pavement with lots of turns and possible wear doesn't concern me. Turns out, the frozen ground with a light layer of snow doesn't wear the tires down much at all.
For where I live, the big snows usually come towards spring and it is not unusual to get 1 1/2 + feet per storm 2-4 times per spring. The BigHorns will probably provide better traction anyway.

Back when I used my wheeler or RZR to plow I ran different tires for plowing. Usually went with a lighter tire like Zillas. Not needed if you have stock or close to stock size tires. If running big mud tires it will be a lot harder on the belt. 600hp Powerstroke with a Boss V-plow does the job now :-)

Would you or anyone know if the plow made for a 570, would fit any of tbe new ACE or Razor? Or would i need specfic plow system for them?

If they're the same length they might share the same frame. My thinking is that the ACE and 570 would be more alike than the RZR which has a longer frame.
