I have both the 850 and 550 and both have been great machines. If you like high horsepower then the 850 is a terrific choice. If you like made in America products then Polaris is the only way to go.

EXACTLY!!! I love my 550 XP and I like the fact it is built only about 200 miles from my house. I work in america and like to buy from americans!!!

Couldn't agree more. However, I'm not going to spend my hard earned cash on inferior junk just to buy American. Seems American companies are finally waking up to the fact that they can't produce poorly engineered and crafted goods anymore. Polaris is one of those companies that has seen the light. The XP is a great ride for sure and I'm happy to give them my money.

I understand if somebody has a bad experience that they shop elsewhere though.

LOL... what cracks me up is people who can't read. I owned a PoPo... and it was a POS, and it cost me a bunch of money, so I will call PoPo's a POS, whenever, and wherever I want.

The "Sorry, don't buy it" was referring to the statement that was quoted... not whether to buy the PoPo or not. Although, the last part could be assumed.

D, You need to consider the basic math of the situation. Statistically there are very few hostile prior Polaris owners out of the thousands currently in the field. Your statements are not backed up by the number of happy owners. I have no doubt you feel you got screwed by Polaris, and likely you did based on what I've read of your posts.....However, that does not make the entire company's product line(s), or our machines POS. Can you understand that. People don't want to hear the endless bitterness due to your experience. Remember there are a lot of working parts to a huge company, so your issues can not be grossly generalized into such a statement as " I will call PoPo's a POS, whenever, and wherever I want." You're not posting in Yahoo Answers here.....

Then maybe you should express your opinion on a diffrent area on this forum no one needs to hear you bash the machines they like. So if you dont have anything good to say, please just stay out.

The dealer I bought my XP from sells Suzuki, Can Am, Artic Cat and Polaris. No body look's at the Suzuki's in the showroom. I wonder why? Are they ugly or something! Maybe like a Suzuki Samuri sitting next to a Porche in a parking lot.
