Broken belt on 700

Broken belt on 700
I broke my belt on my '06 700sp EFI yesterday pulling a sled around in the snow (it was fun while it lasted). I guess the good thing was it happened in my yard so that made for some easy towing back to the garage. My question is, who makes a good replacement belt or should I stick with OEM? Also, I have had 28's on it since I bought it new and the area the belt is in has always gotten much hotter than my previous '04 700. Could this be because of the bigger tires or do the newer ones just get that much hotter. When I say hot, I mean in the summer you just about can't have your leg next to it!
On a side note, my '04 got hot when riding in high gear but the '07 gets hotter when riding in low. That seems odd.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Maybe your Air intake or air exhausts pipes for your belt cover is restricted with something. I towed a sled out of our sled trails for 10 miles while in high range averaging 30 mph last winter without a issue.

Life time warranty on belts are a thing of the past now! Polaris only will warranty if its a manufacturing defect,BUT dealers can take it on their own as a selling point to offer this. OPT

I have a chart on my wall at the shop showing 9 different ways a belt can be destroyed, only 2 are warranted! Delaminating or belt cog separating. Most times (not all) are caused by operator error, wrong gear range, etc. I KNOW you dont want to hear this, but I see examples every day to back this up. OPT
