How to prime the Oil Injector Pump 96 Scrambler
I just rebuilt and replaced my motor, 96 Scrambler 400. I am just about ready to fire it up and tried to bleed the air out of the oil line after refilling the oil tank and I can get the oil to come through the bleed screw but I cant seem to get it to pump through the pump itself and out the other end. I tried to get the oil to pump through by cranking the motor with the electric starter, not actually running it yet. any suggestions? Also, I want to change the inline filter on the oil line, do I need a polaris specific or will a generic do?
Thanks

I would premix your first tank of fuel.and after starting your machine open up the oil pump lever fully by hand for approx a minute or two and it should start smoking very heavy.put the cover back on the pump.top off your oil tank and keep an eye on your oil level during your first tank of fuel to make sure it goes down some. The filter is up to you the dealership I work at we use after market filters in the fuel and 2 stroke oil lines.we mix 8onces of oil with 2 1/2 gallons of gas for the first tank of premix.

I tried this on a 00 Xplorer 2-stroke after an engine swap, and can't seem to get the oil going. I'm ok for now, cause I'm running premixed fuel in the first tank, but don't want to keep doing this if I don't have to. Any tips or tricks to getting this suction or oil going? I may just not know what I'm doing, so any direction would be greatly appreciated.
