just find another parts store that can testthe battery w/ the proper load tester instead of buying an expensive load tester. imo

Unless it's needed for your job I don't think buying a tester is a needed item for you. I don't buy tools from harbor freight so I don't know what they cost, but that money could go towards the purchase of a new battery instead IMO. I would be more apt to buy a maintainer and use it, save the money on the tester, and get 5 years or so life out of the battery. Then when it goes bad, then buy a new one.

Also, most of these new machines have voltmeters right in the speedometers anyways, so now you don't even need a multimeter. All you need is a watch to test them!
