Default 2 Stroke Question

I have just recently gotten the 400 running and have ran a tank of pre-mixed fuel through it to break in the top end. I want to use the oil injection and have done some tests on it. The banjo bolt was restricted so I cleaned it and the check valve. Ran the bike holding the oil pump linkage at wot and got maybe 4-5 drops approx every 10 seconds. Is this normal? I guess i'm a little paranoid seeing that it is my first 2 Stroke.
Thanks Bill

some injection pumps have marks on them to show where tyo set them. it doesn't take alot of oil for the injection tot work. if some one has a manual to look at, there is a certain amount of oil the pump is to put out over certain time.

did you check the little strainer filter in the line on the way down to the pump.
Does oil flow when you unhook the oil line at the tank or oil pump?
Give me a lil time and i'll look in my manual to see if there is any output specs.

These do not use a lot of oil.Just set the pump like the manual says and if you have any worry use premix until the oil tank goes down a little or you oil foul a plug

Thanks for your replies. I have replaced the filter, cleaned the system and set the marks per manual. I believe it is working, but thought the pump should have more pressure/volume. Just wanted to make sure that this system was doing its thing. I do however plan on keeping it mixed for at least one more tank to monitor oil consumption. Also, how much smoke should I expect to see out of the pipe on a good running machine with the oil system working, and no premix, for future reference?
Thanks again!
