I recently just replaced the front right cv shaft, cv shaft bearings, hub and u-joint on my 2001 polaris magnum 325 4x4 and when i engage the 4 wheel drive only the front left tire spins and i can hold the right one while hitting the throttle when its jacked up. any help appreciated

welcome to the forum. did you put the correct polaris hub oil back in?

 

thank you and no i havent put any oil in it yet but i did pack the bearings with grease. do you know what the oil is called because i bought an oil change kit that comes with various lubricants so i probably have it

 

it has to be the correct oil for the hubs to work and only the polaris hub oil is correct so you'll have to go to the dealer and buy it. someone might have a part number handy to show to you. but dont sub. out for differnt oil of it will not work.

The fluid you need is demand drive fluid part#2871654 or demand drive plus part#2877922. My dealer does'nt carry the first number anymore but tell me the demand drive plus is basically the same thing. I've been using it for about a year now and can't tell any difference from the old stuff. (maybe just a number change?)
