Default 2 stroke rpm

I could not find anything in the search. What is the max rpm of 2 strokes? I have a 96 xplorer 300 and I want to check the rpm to make sure I'm not overrevving it.

I just installed a clutch kit from rick ritter (super nice guy). Black drive spring and purple driven spring. I initially set the driven spring in the 2-2 position but didn't like the backshift, so now it is 1-1 and feels better.

Thanks

Think the cdi has a built in rev limiter. Don't know what the actual rpm is when it kicks in though. Give Rick a call, he'd be the one that would know for sure.

Can't say enough good things about Rick. One of the best people to do business with.
