Check your secondary ignition first. Make sure you have a good ground at the coil. The plug cap removed from the plug wire should have approx 3.7k-6.3k ohms. Input at coil to end of plug wire 6.3k ohms (with cap removed). The cap on my 400L was open so I replaced the wire and cap at the same time. They can be unscrewed counterclockwise, and were very reasonable at the dealer. Under $10.

I removed the coil and cleaned it up. My test on the plug cap showed 10.68 ohms and on the coil I had 6.4 ohms. Is the resistance on the cap too high?

Make sure that your ohm meter is set on the K ohm setting or if is auto range be sure that its reading the correct range. If the cap is 10.68 k ohms, yes that is too high. If the coil and wire are 6.4 k ohms, that is acceptable. 6.4 ohms and 6.4 k ohms are a world apart. Hope the cap fixes your problem, inexpensive fix.
