can anyone help me? my girls 01 polaris trailblazer 250 was running great yesterday and all of a sudden i cant get it to start? i have no idea why! im thinking maybve the battery? Before i replace the battery does anyone have any ideas. I know im not giving much info to go off of but all i can really say is that it ran fine yesterday and now today it wont start.

Is it turning over?
If not how's the charge on the battery?
If it is, is there a spark?
Fuel making it to the engine?
Air filter shot?

 

my 250 for some reason at times don`t want to start on the electric start it whorls over but no start i pull the recoil and away it goes not sure what causes this but it always starts.
-did you try the recoil start?
- maybe there is something caught in the needle valve on the carb holding it up causing the crank case to fill with gas, check to make sure its not full if it is you get no start untill you empty it.

 

yes it turns over. i tried to "jump it with my quad and had my quad running with cables to her battery and it just drained my battery until my bike shut off and my battery was dead. ill have to check tomorrow if its getting a spark and check the air filter

 

yeah hers only has the pull start. do 01's usually have both? i had just bought it for her 6 weeks ago and always use the pull start ill check the carb tomorrow

all trailblazers have the pull and electric start. pull the spark out and see if it's firing. put the battery on your battery charger to fully chaarge it for a few hours (no more then 10 amp, but a 2 amp would be better) to know it's not the battery. if you have fire then try to pull start the bike.
