starting problem

Thumbs down starting problem

i have a 250 trail blazer and its not getting gas ... cleaned the carb.. i did a compression check and its at 100psi.. i think my rings are shot... its getting spark so that what makes me think the rings r shot plus i only have 100 psi .. if i have to change the rings should i bore it out more its already 20 over ? please help..........

is fuel coming out of the line at the carb.?
it still should start even with a little manipulation(a shot of ether or a squirt of gas)
you can bore those farther out than that.

100 psi should be enough to run it even though it's borderline. is the carb got gas in it? is the float letting gas in the carb?

yes it filling up the fuel bowl its not getting enough vacum to suck it out of the carb..

i cleaned the carb and still nothing but it just wont suck gas out of the carb.... so i dont know whats wrong but if i pour gas into carb. it will somewhat try to putt.....

like i said in another post pull the air box off and put your hand over the carb crank the motor see if its sucks your hand to the carb. you might need a crank seal or 2. my old trail boss did the same as yours all i did was pull the clutch put 2 small self taping screws in the outer case of the seal pull it and put a new seal in problem fixed i didn`t have to do the mag side. took about 1 hour to fix way better than pulling the head.

i pulled the head and put it up to the light and u can see daylight though it

thank for the advice i finaaly took it up to the dealer and im going to have it bored 40 over the rings were shot and he said it was a 50 50 chance that i could just put rings in it and not have it bored but i decided to go ahead and bored it 40 over so i know it will run.....
